- ...go to meetings?
No. Going to meetings is a great way to stay informed about PTA happenings, and to weigh in on PTA decisions, but attendance is not required. However, if you have the time, our meetings will be held virtually, at 6pm every first Wednesday of the month (unless otherwise specified). All members are welcome to attend!
- Volunteer or spend a lot of time at school?
No. Some families have declined to join the PTA because they think it requires a huge time commitment, but it isn't! Joining the PTA is not the same as volunteering. If you choose to volunteer we would LOVE the help—but volunteering is not required.
- If I join, will my dues make a difference to my child or the school?
YES! Membership dues are the primary source of funds for the PTA. Where does the money go? The school relies on financial support from the PTA for things like teacher/classroom materials, support for clubs, technology, student engagement, community building activities, staff appreciation and so much more. What this means is that the school and our students need the PTA and the PTA needs you! We share our budget and account status at every meeting. Your contributions make a BIG difference at OMMS!

1) Complete the membership form and send in with your student along with the membership fee.
OR
2) Go to our OMMS PTA Store tab, select membership type, complete google form and submit payment via Paypal
OR
3) Come to back to school night at OMMS on September 8th! We will have a table where you can complete your form and pay the membership fee via cash, check or credit card.
